Directions
Begin by peeling the paper off the old crayons and sorting them by color.
Using a double boiler or a microwave-safe container, melt the crayons. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted.
While the crayons are melting, prepare the seashells by ensuring they are clean and dry. Use a hot glue gun to secure a candle wick to the bottom of each seashell.
Once the crayons are melted, you can add a few drops of essential oil to the wax for a pleasant aroma.
Carefully pour the melted crayon wax into the seashells, holding the wick upright with a wooden skewer or chopstick.
Allow the wax to cool and harden completely. Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch above the wax surface.
Once the candles are set, they are ready to be displayed or given as gifts.

Variations & Tips
For a more personalized touch, consider experimenting with different crayon color combinations to match your home decor. You can also use different types of seashells, such as scallop or clam shells, to vary the size and shape of the candles. Adding glitter to the melted wax can give the candles a sparkling effect. For a more aromatic experience, try using different essential oils like lavender or eucalyptus. Remember to always supervise burning candles and place them on a heat-resistant surface.
